Building the "next generation" data center facilities...not only a data storage space, but also an AI and Cloud platform for dealing massive LLM and DLT workloads...

Data centers play a crucial role in our digital world, housing critical applications and data. Modern data centers rely on powerful GPUs for AI, high-performance computing.
The demand for “next-generation” data center facilities shows an explosive growth around the world, driven by Large Language Model (LLM) and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) applications.
The requirements for LLM and DLT workloads cannot be currently handled by conventional data centers due to their limited capability to deal with excessive heat generated by massive arrays of GPUs.
Despite the explosive growth in demand and the aggressive financial backing by institutional investors/private equities, the supply of next generation data center capacity has been hampered by the shortage of electrical power, the difficulty in securing ready-to-develop premises, and the challenges in collaborating with a very limited pool of solution providers.
While addressing these above-mentioned constraints, S1 SYSTEMS is designing the currently most advanced data center in Switzerland, respectively in Europe. Our Tier 5 equivalent data center concept aims to make our data center not only “fault tolerant”, but fault sustainable in design, implementation, and operation, while focusing performance and efficiency, energy savings and energy sources from renewable energies or CO2 neutral energies.
